Terms & Conditions

  • Boarding fees are calculated on a calendar day basis irrespective of the time of admission or departure. (Rates are subject to change during high volume periods with a minimum of 60 days notice)
  • All charges are to be paid in full prior to check-in by contacting SDCB on 1300 651 794 or by paying online. Any additional services can be paid for at check-in.
  • Vaccinations of C5 for dogs and F3 for cats must be up to date. If your pet’s vaccinations are not current, a fee of $100 will be charged for a C5 and $86 for an F3 vaccination as well as travel fees of $90 (round trip).
  • Vaccinations should be given at least 5 days prior to check-in. SDCB does NOT accept any responsibility of your animal/s falling ill. In most animals, disease protection does not begin until five days after vaccination. Full protection from a vaccination usually takes up to fourteen days. In some instances, two or more vaccinations several weeks apart must be given to achieve protection for the vaccinations to be effective.
  • Any pet requiring veterinary treatment will be attended to by a licensed Veterinarian. All veterinary expenses are to be paid by the owner, including travel expenses of $90 and after-hours from $200.
  • SDCB can’t be held responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that does not directly relate to the care given by the SDCB. This also includes any unforeseen behavioral issues.
  • Any pet not claimed within 7 days of the nominated date, will be declared abandoned & they will be handled at SDCB’s discretion. The balance owing on the account, including fees & costs relating to the handling required, shall be payable by the owner forthwith after receipt of SDCB’s advice as to the amount thereof. If the cost is not paid as provided above, legal proceedings will be instituted without further notice and all costs associated including debt collection fees will be payable by the owner.

AUTHORISATION FOR EMERGENCY CARE
In the event the animal described above being boarded by SDCB becomes ill or injured and requires veterinary care, I authorize SDCB to take the animal to a licensed veterinarian. I further authorize treatment to be given and agree I will be liable for all costs incurred.  I acknowledge by signing below that I will be wholly financially responsible for all care given due to any new or pre-existing conditions I may or may not have been aware of. In the event that Sydney Dog & Cat Boarding is unable to reach me, I authorize the Staff to make any emergency decisions they deem necessary for the wellbeing of my pet. By signing below I certify that I have read this document and agree to hold Sydney Dog & Cat Boarding harmless for any illness or the death of my pet due to illness incurred during or after the pet boarding. If veterinary treatment is declined by the authorised person, SDCB have the right to request the animal is collected immediately by the person responsible.

 

Booking Payments and Cancellation Policy

  • Please note that the following conditions apply regardless of circumstance/reason of cancellation.
  • All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE outside of our 24 hour cooling off period. In some cases, deposits may be transferred to future bookings made within 12 months of the cancellation date. (Please see Below)
  • This also includes bookings using our Pet Taxi service.
  • All bookings are subject to availability. All bookings you make online are pending until you receive a confirmation email and agree to our terms and conditions.
  • If your booking is through two seasons ie; High & Peak season….Peak season rules will apply.

 

Payments Low Season Bookings

  • All bookings require a deposit which is non-refundable after a 24-hour cooling-off period. The deposit may be used as a credit for future bookings within 12 months of cancelled booking date.
  • Balance payments must be made in full 24 hours prior to check-in or earlier including Pet Taxi bookings.

 

Cancellations For Low Season Periods

  • Cancellation deposits are not refundable if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to check-in (No cooling-off period is given for deposits falling within 24 hours of check-in)
  • Deposits will be credited to future bookings if more than 24 hours cancellation notice is given.
  • Cancellation balance payments are refundable or able to be used as a credit within 12 months of booking date.

 

Christmas Holiday Payments (Peak Season)

The following information applies to Christmas holiday bookings between the 15th of December and the 15th of January.

  • Christmas holiday bookings require a $200 deposit per animal.
  • This deposit must be made at the time of booking and has a 24-hour cooling-off period.
  • All bookings made for our Christmas holiday period will require payment in full by the 28th of November.
  • All deposits and balances paid less than 14 days prior to check-in are non-refundable and no credits will be applied.
  • All bookings made after this date will be subject to availability.

 

Christmas Holiday Cancellations (Peak Season)

The following information applies to Christmas holiday bookings between the 15th of December and the 15th of January.

  • Cancellations made within 30 days prior to check-in will have the deposit credited to a future booking. This credit will expire in 12 months from the date of cancellation and the balance payment will be refunded or can be credited to a future booking.
  • Cancellations made within 21 days prior to check-in will have to forfeit the deposit and can choose to either have their balance refunded or kept as credit to be used on a future booking 12 months from cancellation date.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in will have the full amount forfeited. (No refund or credit will be given regardless of circumstance)

 

Easter Booking Payments (Peak Season)

The following information applies to Easter bookings between the 10th of April and the 13th of April.

  • Easter bookings require a $200 deposit per animal.
  • This deposit must be made at the time of booking and has a 24-hour cooling-off period.
  • The booking deposit is not refundable 24 hours after it is paid. You will have the option of using this deposit on a future booking that is made within the next 12 months of cancelled booking date.
  • All bookings made for our Easter period will require payment in full by the 27th of March.
  • All bookings made after this date will be subject to availability and must be paid in full.

 

 

Easter Booking Cancellations (Peak Season)

The following information applies to Easter bookings between the 10th of April and the 13th of April.

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to check-in will have their deposit credited. It also can be used on future bookings within 12 months from the date of cancellation. Balance payments may be refunded or credited to a future booking within the next 12 months.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days prior to check-in will have their deposit forfeited. No refund will be given. Any balances paid will be credited to a future booking within the next 12 months.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to arrival will have the full amount forfeited. (No refund or credit will be given regardless of circumstance)

 

School Holiday Booking Payments (High Season)

The following information applies to Easter school holiday bookings Between 14th – 26th of April.
July School Holidays, September/October School Holidays, January School Holidays 16th – 28th.

  • Deposits must be made at the time of booking. There is a 24-hour cooling-off period.
  • Balances must be paid at least 14 days before check-in.
  • All bookings made after this date are subject to availability and must be paid in full.

 

School Holiday Booking Cancellations (High Season)

The following information applies to Easter school holiday bookings Between 14th – 26th of April.
July School Holidays, September/October School Holidays, January School Holidays 16th – 28th.

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to check-in will have the deposit put towards credit for future bookings within 12 months of cancelled booking date. Balances can be refunded or used towards a credit for future bookings within 12 months of the cancellation date.
  • Cancellations that are made less than 24 hours prior to check-in will be forfeited. This includes all full payments. (No refund or credit will be given regardless of circumstance)

 

Other Public Holidays (Out of School Holidays)

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to check-in will have their deposit credited to any future bookings within 12 months of cancellation.
  • Deposits will not be refunded if less than 24 hours notice is given. (No refund or credit will be given regardless of circumstance)
  • Any balances paid will be refunded or can be used as a credit for bookings made within the 12 months of cancellation.

    Long Term Bookings

    All bookings with an uncertain check out date must have one month paid before check-in. The booking must then be kept up to date with payments for two weeks in advance. If the booking falls during our high or peak season times, payments must cover those periods and then fortnightly payments will continue as normal once the season is over.

    Once a departure date is confirmed and your account is in credit, SDCB will refund any unused boarding with notice. (Please see above for cancellation rules during different seasons) This credit may also be kept on your account for future bookings.
